Brian King

Real Estate Finance, Investment & Development

Brian King is a Morehouse College alumnus who graduated summa cum laude in Finance and Accounting and earned an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He has more than 30 years of finance and real estate investment experience and has taught Real Estate Finance and Investments at Morehouse College.

His career includes banking and investment finance at Chemical Bank, investment banking, and real estate investment and acquisitions, including management of a $300 million Department of Education capital-investment program. On the development side he served as a director with Sanctuary Residential, overseeing a 150-bed mixed-use student housing project in downtown Atlanta, and he is co-founder and manager of Urban Renaissance Development, which announced an infill initiative of more than 200 build-to-rent residences in Atlanta's historic University Center area.

His session is a practical walk through a first investment and how it leads to the next project.
