National Society of Real Estate Appraisers

The National Society of Real Estate Appraisers (NSREA) is dedicated to promoting the highest standards of professionalism among its members. Founded to advance the science and art of real property valuation, NSREA provides equal opportunity to all men and women who are committed to excellence in the appraisal profession.

Through rigorous examination, the awarding of the prestigious CREA (Certified Real Estate Appraiser) designation, and a strong commitment to continuing education, NSREA members lead the industry in ethical conduct and professional competency.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, NSREA is dedicated to expanding awareness of appraisal and valuation careers among students and underserved communities. Career Pathways to Success 2026 introduces participants to careers in residential and commercial real estate appraisal, business valuation, fine art and antiques, personal property, and equipment valuation — and welcomes members of the military community transitioning out of active service into the valuation industry.
